The C.B.’s daughter is an inept character who gets dragged across the desert by her horse “Wildfire”, only to be saved by Rex O’ Herolan. In that particular scene, she attempts to seduce R .....

As Hawthorne navigates the reader through the passages of his dark tale,
one follows Hester as she goes to Governor Bellingham's mansion. Light is
reflected by almost every aspect of the extravagant dwelling. Through the
narrator's words, we see the Governor's house as Hester sees it: "...though
partly muffled by a curtain, it [the hallway] was more powerfully illuminated by
one of those embowed hall windows..." (Hawthorne 101). One can envision the

Breakfast Of Champions- Kurt V
Words: 646 - Pages: 3.... “for the words”. Trout is in awe about the way that people work. In Plague on Wheel he expresses the ideas and ways of humans and then refers to them as “ cuckoo”. He cannot understand why people do such ridiculous things such as, “[agree] with friends to express friendliness” and everyone else follows. He sees that people feel the need to conform for acceptance and this annoys him. In his story he also cites the time of which “Earthlings discovered tools”, referring to guns. Trout points out that the “tools” only purpose is “to make holes in human beings”, this seeming .....

The struggle between the marlin is a beautiful depiction of courage and
resilience, but I begin to wonder who is hooked into who. The old man and the
fish are one and their lives become connected through that line as they live
each moment according to the other's actions. Even the old man is not sure who
is better, him or the marlin, and he mentions several times they are not that
different. And whether or not the sharks ate his fish, it only matters that the
