On several occasions the background music was cheerful and upbeat while the physical settings and scenery were terribly dark, dreary and depressing. One good example of this is the scene where Andy was helping the guards with their taxes. There was upbeat and cheerful music but the room and the surroundings were dark and gloomy. Laura is lonesome in this house where she is different from both her mother and brother. Jim says that the unicorn "feel[s] sort of lonesome"(1752). Laura is alluding to herself when she talks about the unicorn being the only one among the other horses. When Jim says that the unicorn is lonesome Laura replies with, "Well, if he [is] he doesn’t complain about it. He stays on a shelf with some horses that don’t have horns and all of them seem to get along nicely together"(175 .....

(Act 1, Scene 3)" The prophecies of the three witches spark up a flare in Macbeth's mind. After the first of the two prophecies came true, he was faced with the decision to assassin King Duncan or to sit down calmly and do nothing about it. Macbeth's final decision was to kill the king and thus fulfilling the second prophecy of the three weird sisters. Macbeth's decision of treason is the consequential beginning of the chain of events. Salinger’s view of the world is lived out thought Holden – his persona. The novel is Holden’s steam of conscience as he is talking to a psychoanalyst “what would an psychoanalyst do…gets you to talk…for one thing he’d help you to recognise the patterns of your mind”.
