He finds a pearl "the size of a seagull egg" , and they think there trouble is over. conclusion: Kino and Jauna ultimatly have to go to the capital to trade their pearl in. Some trackers follow them to get the pearl. What insues is a chase through the mountains ending up with the death of Coyotito. His room is full of "a number of personal possessions" that had accumulated over time. Crook's room is his own private place where he is in control but he hates being alone. The true loneliness comes out when Lennie comes into Crook's room. Crooks explains to Lennie that "guys don't come into a colored man's room very much." Ramsay took it upon himself to educate Paul, though the material he used to do this with was highly unheard of, in order to help reduce some of the guilt Dunstan still had with Pauls birth. This new interest of magic and saints is what later led Paul to chose the path he did when he ran away from home. Dunstan greatly altered Pauls life without it ever serving more than the purpose of just moving his life along. A lot of the events that changed Pauls life also .....

Because prejudice is not personified (ie. depicted as a major characteristic flaw) I believe that it was not to be the object of Jane Austen's sharper criticism. Jane Austen has depicted pride in her minor (functional) characters as a means of demonstrating it's importance as a theme of this novel. Lady Catherine is one of the main offenders, her airs, arrogance and pride are fuelled by other characters like Mr Collins who is put there to satire proud people and their followers. Another important character to note is Mr Darcy. He is an extremely important character in this novel, .....

.... Wanda Fay is a woman in her 40's and has the maturity of a child. Whenever she becomes mad, Fay starts to scream, point fingers, and search out people who will help her. She can not stand up and fight for herself, instead Fay uses tactics to make her opponent feel sorry or inferior. This makes her extremely hard to get along with since she is always demanding and never giving. Laurel McKelva is the complete opposite of Wanda Fay. She is kind hearted, nice, caring, and intelligent.
