Balances Of Values And Academic Freedom Of Inquiry
Words: 601 - Pages: 3.... free to take exception to the views or information
presented to us, and we are free to reserve judgment about matters of opinions.
Sometimes, in our quest for knowledge, there becomes a conflict between
our beliefs we are accustomed to and the material presented to us. When there is
a difference, we should not ignore the idea or block it out. We should feel free
to learn and question new ideas. Just because we learn something doesn't mean we
have to accept it. We should leave ourselves open to new ideas. When we do this
we become very well rounded individuals.
An example of this is the issue involving the debate between evolution
and cr .....

Words: 1299 - Pages: 5.... that came to mind was just to fling it up in the
air and hope it makes it to somebody around the base runner. Considering my
previous luck, I just threw it to the first basemen. The throw was not any
better then the catch. It landed 5 feet short and by the time the first basemen
recovered the runner had rounded third base and was at least halfway home. The
runner did score on a close play at the plate. The run gave the other team a
two run advantage going into the sixth inning, which was the last in midget
league. I knew at this point I was going to have a hard time facing the other
guys on the team after this big let down. It also ma .....

Quite a lot of the time the front room can be in darkness because the trucks are so large that when in standing traffic they block most of the light to the house.

Personal Writing: My Kiwi Experience
Words: 416 - Pages: 2.... The fruit was smooth. It was extremely slimy to the touch.
When I pulled my finger off the fruit of the kiwi, it felt sticky, almost
not letting my finger go. Next, I rubbed my fingers over the seeds. They
were so close together it was hard to feel one. When I managed to grab one,
I noticed how slick it was. It was smooth with tiny bumps that were almost
invisible to the touch. My hand was drawn to the core next. The core was
spongy and felt like the fruit, smooth and slick.
Next, I decided to listen to the sounds a kiwi could make. I pick
the slice up, and I dropped it with a loud thump. It almost sounded like
water sloshi .....
