.... my school career I have heard so many stories and read so many books about native Americans and native American rituals that it was kind of getting a little old, but never the less I gave this book a chance and it turned out to be a good gamble. That was becuase this book was different in the sense that it got way more in-depth with the beliefs and different legends of the native Americans than all other books that I have read. That provided a new outlook and different feel which helped keep my attention. What I also found interesting was the similarity of the religious beliefs that these particular native Americans had to Seventh day A .....

When Oedipus finds out what he has done, he blinds himself and becomes a wandering beggar. The Common Man shows self-interest on a small scale. Take for example when More is using the Common Man's boat and the issue of payment comes up. He asks More to 'make it worth his while". This shows us how most would act in the same situation. It shows that all people have a price even if it is on a small scale. The Boatman also goes as far to hint about his 'young wife'. By mentioning her, he hopes that he will be tipped more money. He only wants enough money to get by with. .....

Oedipus’ wisdom and love; “I would willingly do anything to help you.� Through this quote readers respond favorably towards this character as readers are aware that King Oedipus actually genuinely cares about his people and Thebes as he steps down from the throne and makes the effort to correspond with the people and get to the bottom of the dilemma. .... Jackson at the beginning of this story gives the reader a glimpse of how difficult this trip is going to be for an elderly woman such as her. The description "Her eyes were blue with age. Her skin has a pattern all its own of numberless branching wrinkles" are indications of Phoenix Jackson's old age. She supports herself with a cane, striving not to fall with every step she takes. She wears a "dress reaching down to hershoe tops" along with "an equally long apron of bleached sugar sacks, with a full pocket." This just adds to her difficulties. Le Morte d’Arthur is a compilation of several dozen smaller stories, each written with an individual focus on one central character. Malory’s work is filled murder, death, and violence, while in Cervantes’ piece, no one is killed, all injuries are recoverable, and all the violence is mitigated by a touch of absurdity. .... aboard the Indomitable, Billy meets up with John Claggart, the master-at-arms. Claggart’s personality coincides with that of Billy’s and with the help from Dansker, Billy soon realizes. Billy soon realizes that Claggart is out to get him after he talks to the Dansker.
