Glass Menagerie Commentary
Words: 563 - Pages: 3.... this play were both useful and annoying. I say that they were useful because they helped me to understand the plot and the characters motives and actions easier and better. But they were annoying because there were so many of them, and at times Tennessee Williams was overly descriptive in his stage directions.
This play made me think about how people with disabilities are treated. I had always thought that in the thirties and forties, being disabled was not accepted. But after reading this play, I am starting to think that I might be wrong after all, because Laura seemed not to be treated any differently as a result of her disability.

The Pearl

Kino, the protagonist, is a strong willed, if stubborn, man. He refuses to sell the underhanded pearl dealers his valuble pearl although he desperately needs the money. He does this because he feels very strongly that what the men are doing to him is wrong, and he refuses to give in to that.
The main idea of the story is that good things can have bad effects. While its intentions were good, brought about the downfall of the protagonist. Due to the greed of dealers, and partly becasue of Kino's own lust for wealth, his son is killed and he loses almost everything he owns.

Lennies Guilt In Of Mice And M

Unintentional Findings
Words: 503 - Pages: 2.... artistic vision. He
looked at things differently then others boys around him and he knew that. He
always had extra questions about the simplest of matters and constantly thought
about what was wrong and right and how it lead to double-standards. This is seen
when he is asked if he kisses his mother at night. No matter what his answer is
