At one point, his love for Mangan's sisteroverwhelms him, and he presses his palms together and begins to chant "O Love! O Love!". The narrator's view of love is idealistic. He has set Mangan's sister upon a pedestal, and his expectations of love are too unrealistic. At the end of the story, the narrator is bitter. He realizes thathis view of love is idealized and unrealistic. Sordid reality is epitomized by the fair. The young boy goes to Araby with the romantic goal of buying a gift for Mang .....

.... occurs when Duncan sees the injured sergeant and says, "What bloody man is that?"(Act 1 Sc 2 line 1) This is symbolic of the brave fighter who has been injured in a valiant battle for his country. In the next passage, in which the sergeant says, "Which smok'd with bloody execution"(Act 1 Sc 2 line 18), he is referring to Macbeth's braveness in which his sword is covered in the hot blood of the enemy. Blood is used in these passages to identify honor and courage, it separates the good from the bad, and it also gives the reader a view of how the shedding of blood will be used often to identify certain characteristics. Without his parent’s confrontation with the oracle, Oedipus would not have been cast away from Thebes in the first place. Yet without the riddle of the sphinx, Oedipus would .....

This book also flourished with innovative situations pertaining to the most diversified of criminal charges, to the most uncanny regions of law ever dealt. It was this thorough look at Greenspan's life which impressed this reviewer the most.
