Another associated myth/behavior here is going to "Africa" to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. While the ecology of Mt. Kilimanjaro is fascinating, most of its visitors are hardly there long enough to learn much about it, and there in nothing very African about the climbing culture on the mountain.
"The people of Africa are violent and dangerous." The exact opposite is probably closer to the truth. It is safer in many African capitals to take .....

The Beehive and word "industry" became the official motto and

They were precisely cut to standard measurements, dressed (shaped and smoothed), and then fitted into place with no mortar or clamps. The vault system of construction was well suited to a massive engineering project such as the Pont du Gard bridge and aqueduct. With the tunnel vaults in a continuous series side by side, the lateral thrust of each vault is counteracted by its neighbor, so that only the end vaults need to be buttressed. The placement of larger vaults below and smal .....

drought.
All the climates listed in the previous paragraph are modified in the eastern
parts of Tropical Africa by the mountains and monsoons.
The soils of Tropical Africa pose another problem. They are unlike the soils of
