Words: 1062 - Pages: 4.... with Mr. Keating.
The lives of all the boys were drastically changed the day they met Mr.
Keating. "Carpe Diem" he told them. "Seize the day, make you lives
extraordinary." With these few words, Mr. Keating opened the minds of his
students to the broad possibilities that life held for them. The boys learned
that they deserved more than the daily routine, that they were not satisfied
with living up to the expectations of others. As a result, they re-established
the Dead Poet's society, and consequently experienced what they had been
protected from previously. The most significant change wrought from both the
arrival of Mr. Keating and .....

Analysis Of Advertisements For Two Different Things
Words: 1216 - Pages: 5.... development teams.
The `Monster Truck Madness' ad encaptivates the casual browser with
its bright yellow background with a large purple type set across the top
of the page accompanied by the words: `Size Matters". This leads the
reader to ponder the meaning of this rather unusual phrase and to further
read the smaller print. Here, the reader encounters an irregular font of
different sizes to accentuate certain words. While this may be annoying
to many, its overall purpose is to create a lively playful environment
through the usage of fonts. This, of course, is an attempt to appeal to a
younger gaming audience. On the other hand, the .....

Similarities Of Two Famous Tales Of Love
Words: 695 - Pages: 3.... Tybalt, Bernado
disapproved of their love and was quick to fight with anymember of the Jets or
Tony. However, Anita, Bernardo's girlfriend, approved of their love because she
just wanted to see Maria happy like the Nurse. Overwhelmed by all the fighting,
Baby John was much like Tybalt's peace keeping foil character, Mercutio. Lastly,
Doc tried to help Tony and stop all the insanity around him like Friar Laurence.
In both stories, comic relief occurred to keep the audience interested,
but the two plays usually differed in their approaches to comedy. In Romeo And
Juliet, Mercutio amused the audience with his actions and soliloquies. Wes .....

Movie Review: Dangerous Minds
Words: 621 - Pages: 3.... Dangerous Minds portrays a true depiction of this country's
flunking educational system. The movie is mostly about life when you have
nowhere to turn. In the movie, the students are expected to fail and if it
were not for the determination of LouAnne Johnson these students probably
would have failed. At the beginning of the movie it shows how two teachers
have already quit their job at this school and had given up on these
students. Many educational stereotypes are out in today's world, which
makes people believe that these students do not want to learn or just do
not care about their futures. While this may be true in some instance .....

Both the Menendez brothers and Hamlet were painfully wronged and felt the need to seek revenge. It is possible that like Hamlet, the Menendez brothers will lose their lives as a result.

Romeo And Juliet: Various Types Of Love
Words: 807 - Pages: 3.... shows the audience two things about Ben volio: he is a
womanizer and he has never before experienced "true love." The next
definition of love comes from Romeo, but before the time he met Juliet.
According to his definition, love (or, rather, not returned love) is pain.
He h ides from the sun due to the "love" he feels, and does not act like
"himself." I believe Romeo is both right and wrong: not returned love is
pain, but Romeo doe s not truly love, as he is merely infatuated by a woman.
The next definition of love comes from Juliet, who, before meeting Romeo,
did no t even have a definition of love. She appears not to know what love
is, .....

love?" (Act 2 Scene 2 line 95). Opelia answers a question posed by Polonius by

with him any more. Her father makes reference to Hamlet's madness once again by
proclaiming that what his daughter said, "... hath made him (Hamlet) mad." (Act
2 Scene 2 line 123).
The argument of whether Hamlet is insane because of his love for Ophelia is
often debated, but a more confusing and complex situation is the struggle within
Hamlet's mind. His pe .....
