.... the play condemn it for the blatant sexist attitude it has toward women but closer examination of the play and the intricacies of its structure reveal that it is not merely a story of how men should 'put women in their place'. The play is a comedy about an assertive woman coping with how she is expected to act in the society of the late sixteenth century and of how one must obey the unwritten rules of a society to be accepted in it. Although the play ends with her conforming to the society, this is in action only, not in mind, as she assumes the role of the obedient wife. This spell is cast due to the fact that the captain’s wife would not give the witch a chestnut. Another hag is bragging about a thumb she has acquired “Here I have a pilot’s thumb�(I,iii,29). Being general in his statements left the crowd to understand more easily Brutus’s side of the story and accept him and what he did. Antony begins his speech with an innocent eulogy, but instead incites his audience into a riot, looking for Brutus's death and wrongfully killing Cinna the Poet. He does this by appealing to their emotions. Bringing Caesar's body for everyone to see made them see for themselves the reality of Caesar's death. Pointing .....

After Macbeth is promised the throne, Banquo asks why Macbeth is less than ecstatic. "Good sir, why do you start, and seem to fear / Things that do sound so fair?" (Act I, Sciii, L. 54-55) Macbeth's new knowledge makes him uncomfortable, as he realizes the implications. His first thoughts considering murdering Duncan appear, and he is scared. The would be effected by the continuation of the Jesuits because of the slave trade. If the Jesuits stayed, the Indians would have a spiritual leader . To brake their faith the Jesuits would have to be removed. Near the end of the movie, the Spanish do try to break the faith of the Indians. Father John is seen carrying a cross with many natives following behind him. He is killed purposely, and even though he is down, the native faith is still there. A young native boy picks up .....

An example of hoe Polonius’ innocent involvement with the royalty results in his death can be found at the beginning of Act III, scene iv, when Hamlet stabs him while he is hiding behind the arras in Gertude’s room. This shows how Polonius, a man unaware of the true nature of the situation he is in, is killed by a member of the royalty during the execution of one of their schemes. This makes Polonius’ death a tragedy. The next member of Polonius’ family to die is his daughter Ophelia. Ophelia’s death is tragic because of her complete innocence in the situation. Seeking further information, searches out the witches. He always wants to keep up the appearance of loving and caring person. Polonius appears like a man who loves and cares about his son, Laertes. Polonius speaks to his son with advice that sounds sincere but in reality it is rehearsed, hollow and without feeling. Polonius gives his advice only to appear to be the loving caring father.
