Catastrophes That Plagued Characters In Romeo And Juliet
Words: 544 - Pages: 2.... fights. His jokes were probably taken lightly be his
friends Romeo and Benvolio because they were accustomed to hearing Mercutio's
voice constantly. Mercutio should not have tried to tease Tybalt because of the
rivalry between Tybalt's family and Romeo's family.
While avenging Mercutio, Romeo should have thought about the
consequences of slaying Tybalt. On one hand he filled the urge to kill the man
who had killed his friend. On the other hand he killed his wife's cousin. How
can one justify killing a member of their wife's family? Another consequence he
should have taken into consideration was the punishment he was going to receive

would be so much recorded evidence about his life and his opinions that it would
not be hard to write about him.
Shakespeare, however, lived some four hundred years ago in the reign of
Queen Elizabeth I, when there was no tele-vision or radio, nor even any
newspapers as we know them today. Although he was respected as an important
person in his own lifetime .....

the truth.

Macbeth, wicked and evil witches deceive their victim, Macbeth, by
equivocating his prophecies. As a result of this new "half-true" knowledge,
Macbeth makes rash decisions that lead him to paranoia, grief, and his

Long before we come into the story, Oepidus “sent Menoeceus’ son Creon, Jocasta’s brother, to Apollo, to his Pythian temple, so that he might learn there by what act or word [Oedipus] could save [his] city.” (60-73) Upon returning, Creon brings with him encouraging news that saving Thebes is a simple task of finding and driving out Laius’ murderer or murderers. At once Oedipus begins this task with these words to his peopl .....

Hamlet Was Weak And Diminutive
Words: 2009 - Pages: 8.... to mock
his mother for her lack of grief for his father, her dead husband. At this
point in the speech, Hamlet may merely mean that his grief for his father
is genuine, but “passeth show” may also mean that he has some sort of
feeling that can’t be shown by “the trappings and suits of woe” --his black
clothing and cloudy face. These feelings that may very well be hidden from
his own conscious are - what I believe - a truth to his indecisiveness on
anything he attempts. Indecision in a man, or woman, for that matter, is a
strong symbol of his/her lack of perception.
Hamlet says that the King is “My father’s brother, but no .....
