Words: 1820 - Pages: 7.... or power of another,
in the First Amendment to the Constitution. So why do we need to be concerned
if we, as citizens, have been properly protected under the constitution? Our
concerns occur, on account of special interest groups that are fighting to
change the freedom of expression, the right to freely represent individual
thoughts, feelings, and views, in order to protect their families as well as
others. These groups, religious or otherwise, believe that publishing
unorthodox material is an abuse of free expression under the First Amendment.
As we will come to find, our Supreme Court system plays an exceedingly important
role in the .....

Migration Towards The Brave Ne
Words: 1553 - Pages: 6.... the governments, businesses and educational institutions are exploiting today. We are subconsciously moving to this bureaucracy of conformity, and Brave New World is a wake up call from our obsessions of standardization socially, economically and politically. The story took place in A.F (After Ford) 632, this is 632years after Ford has released the first T-ford. Huxley used “After Ford”to show its great advancement in making automobiles as a company over the years. In 1932, Huxley introduced Brave New World to show his great concern of the Western civilization. He saw that in the 1900s there was a dramatic economic change in different .....

Therefore these people are arrested, reinforcing the idea that drug trafficking is primarily an Latino or African American thing. At the same time white drivers receive far less police attention, many of the drug dealers and users among them get away. This just feeds to the perception that whites commit fewer drug offenses than minorities. This often results in the persecution of innocent people based on skin color. This also causes a huge distrust and minorities are less willing to cooperate. Driving While Black is not an issue that just arose its just now gaining a name. The practice of by ou .....

Constitutional Law Marbury V M
Words: 1136 - Pages: 5.... allows that "the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, . . . " (Art. II, § 2). The Judiciary Act of 1793 had given the President the right to appoint federal judges and justices of the peace; there is no dispute that such an appointment was within the scope of the president's powers. Debate arises because the Constitution is silent on the exact time at which the appointment is considered complete. The Supreme Court ruled that "when a commission has been signed by the president, the appointment is made; and that the commission is complete, when the seal of .....

America's Network Of Representative Governments
Words: 423 - Pages: 2.... for them. This was democracy at its earliest stage in America.
Everywhere one goes today in America, there is democracy. Whether a church council, school club or the state general assembly, a representative group is always present. Democracy shapes America. One could view the first democratic group responsible for today's freedom. This was the assembly formed by George Yeardly (p.13). Perhaps, if the Virginia Company had not instructed the governor to establish an assembly, the idea of democracy might not have instilled into the minds of the colonists. Surely, without this first appearance, it is questionable that an idea suppressed for ce .....

would help them. Also, a lot of the poor women already have children to take of, and adding
one more would greatly burden the already financially troubled parent. Again, allowing them to
have an abortion would help them. Once the fetus has been aborted, then the parents can
concentrate on their other children.
Teenagers are more affected by having a baby these days than it would have been 100

Does God Exist
Words: 952 - Pages: 4.... into
being, and to bring itself into being, it would have to exist before it existed. If
a being exists, it is because some being prior to it, was it's cause. Therefore,
if no first cause exists, neither will any other being exist. Therefore, there is a
first efficient cause--God. This argument assumes that a first cause is needed
to explain the existence of anything. Aquinas also assumes this first cause to
be God. How can anyone rationally conclude that there is a God from the
simple statement that a first cause is necessary? Therefore, a first cause does
not prove God, it only assumes that there is a God, at best. Could one not

Gun Control

They have also been debating about weather the framers intended the Second Amendment to apply to individuals, or to state militias. In U S v. Cruikshank, 92 U.S. 542 (1875) the court ruled that laws could be passed regarding . The court said “The right they’re specified is that of 'bearing arms for a lawful purpose.' This is not a right granted by the Constitution. Neither is it in any manner dependent upon that instrument for its existence. The second amendment declares that it shall not be infringed; but this, as has been seen, .....
