Black Bears
Words: 292 - Pages: 2.... year a woman in Boonton was attacked as well as her dog by a black bear. I did realize more however upon how much we had imposed our selves on them. If I were a bear I would have attacked back or pushed back as well. It appeared that many of the people in there took this issue to heart, for example the “salt and murdering” man in the very beginning, though some of the people in there were stricken with ambivalency during his presentation. I see no wrong in hunting a bear, be it may a simple task you don’t have make it one. The man who gave the presentation was refereed to as the Jane Goodwill of the bears, I see where they would have .....

attention. Now that de Valera's and Collins' personalities have been
established, we can now analyze the events and actual conditions under which
Ireland was under that led ultimately to her freedom.
All across Ireland people were repulsed by the executions which they
considered to be needlessly brutal. What they lacked was new leadership to
focus the restless energy of the Irish into effective political action, but it
was not long in coming. At Christmas 1916 all rebel prisoners who had been

MTV Effects
Words: 424 - Pages: 2.... or tatoo their bodies, just because of their TV idols doing that. TV hosts become the role models to follow, they are gurus and authorities on almost every field of human life from fashion to ethics and morality. They sell some patterns of behavior that other people can consider weird or outrageous. Their ideas can be good and honorable as well as freak and dumb. TV creates an ideal of a 'perfect' woman and man with all the paraphernalia and pressure connected with it. Many young women (as they appear to be more susceptible to that tension) put themselves on diet, wear strange clothes etc. just to fit in the 'official' picture. People .....

Smokey Restaurants
Words: 610 - Pages: 3.... to install air purifier/cleaners. Non- smoking restaurants, enclosed smoking sections and required air purifier/cleaners offer different ways to eliminate dining in a smokey restaurant. Creating restaurants as non-smoking would avoid the problem of nicotine odors ruining many meals. The Onion, located in downtown Spokane, requires that all smoking be done in the bar area. The bar is separated from the main restaurant by a gate. I ate lunch at this restaurant, and while I was there smoke from the bar drifted to my table and spoiled my lunch. The non- smoking policy is catching on in various public places and restaurants taking on the .....

any other traditionally male job. Typical victims of harassment are

diversity is our great meal ticket to the future if we can figure out how to get
along and how to lift each other up." His bits of intellect might be useful if
he proposed solutions to the obvious problems he presents. Bob Dole, a
republican candidate, has already done some work on welfare reform. He recently
passed a bill which allows the state to create programs that will move people
from welfare to work. His reform plan will effectively lower welfare recipients
by requiring able-bodied people to work, single-teen parents .....

The American Oligarchy
Words: 910 - Pages: 4.... and simple one, for this reason a mass (ochlos) can judge many things better than any one man. In addition, that which is many is less likely to be corrupted. So, although an individual's judgment can be corrupted when he is overcome by anger or some other emotion, it is difficult for all to become angry and make erroneous judgments simultaneously. If all the men are good men and good citizens, they are less corruptible than one man. However, seldom is this the case with American politics. There are far fewer politicians then there are low class workers or unemployed, and yet these politicians decide upon most all of the important decisi .....
