the United States, like the colorful leaves scattered across peoples' yards
during autumn, have pleaded innocence - blaming parents and their unjust
upbringing. They scream to the jury that it really wasn't their fault, but the
fault of their parents because if they had a perfect childhood then they
wouldn't have committed the crime. It is true that the values that children

heavenly beings that told him to establish the restored Christian Church. He

Smith attracted a small group of followers who settled in Kirtland, Ohio, and
Jackson County, Missouri. Because of persecution, the church moved to northern

The Importance Of Having Several Different Translations Of The Bible
Words: 239 - Pages: 1.... of the Bible would not
make sense , but, several different versions make the Bible able to be
read by almost everyone. If there were not as many translations of this
holy book, the spread of Christianity would not be as great as it now is.
Many interpretations make the Bible easier to understand by using
the everyday language most people use. The Living Bible takes the
confusing phrases that would normally take two or three times to read and
sums them up in simple language. Most people don't have enough time as it
is. Why waste it trying to understand a few sentences?
The spread of Christianity would not be a .....

Your Journey Toward Christ
Words: 395 - Pages: 2.... away from your goal and disrupt your progress by tempting you, accusing you and deceiving you.
What is the enemy's goal in having his demons jeer you, taunt you, lure you, and question you from the windows and doorways along your path? He wants you to slow down, stop, sit down, and, if possible, give up . He wants to influence you to doubt your ability to believe and serve God. Remember: he has absolutely no power or authority to keep you from steadily progressing in your walk toward Christ. And he can never again own you, because you have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and you are forever in Him (1 Peter 1:18, 19). But if he can get yo .....

Greek Orthodox Customs

Only two states allow underage marriages, so my family, his family and some people from our village flew to South Carolina for the City Hall service. At the end, the lady who'd married us said, "You can kiss the bride." My husband and I were so embarrassed we could barely look at each other. Then we headed back to the house where we had our religious ceremony. Following Greek Orthodox custom, I went home afterward with my parents.
The next day, my father drove Emanual, my husband, and me to a hotel. When we got to the room, I almost jumped for joy. There were two single beds. My father ki .....

…by the Incarnation and the Cross (in her "anticipated redemption")
and which is, at the same time, one of the conditions required for the
Incarnation, accomplishing the unity of the conditions required for the
Incarnation, accomplishing the unity of 'one flesh' and yet laying the
foundation, precisely therein, for the radical opposition between head
and body, Lord and handmaid, bridegroom and bride.

Prayer In Schools: To Pray, Or Not To Pray?
Words: 443 - Pages: 2.... just another form
of prayer.
My personal belief is that prayer should not be aloud in our nation
schools. I myself am a practicing Christian, and choose to pray on my own
before tests, and at other times, but I strongly feel that people with
other beliefs should not be subjected to my, or even the majority of the
class's beliefs. In America, it is a right of the people to choose their
belief, or lack there of, and we should learn to respect and honor that.
I personally agree with the first two statements. The picture of
Jesus should not be aloud because Jesus Christ is mainly a Christian icon.
I also believe that a moment of si .....
