The Good Earth: Summary
Words: 1155 - Pages: 5.... He
was the oldest of the Wang family alive in the book and in Chinese culture
anyone older than you should be respected and treated nicely. Wang Lung
took care of him at first until he was married and then O-lan took care of

living with their families did not exist. The only thing his un .....

The Lord Of The Flies: Ralph
Words: 482 - Pages: 2.... one that wanted to live the right way or the civilized way in my opinion. Jack, unlike Ralph, lost his sense of civilization. Jack was the one who wanted to hunt and kill rather than being calm and logical like Ralph.
“By the time Ralph finished blowing the conch.” (Golding 32) This quote was from the beginning of the book when Ralph started blowing the conch to call the meetings. This showed he was really a leader and not a follower. That is one aspect I really liked about Ralph.
