After a week of intense debate, Kennedy decided to impose a naval quarantine around Cuba. This ensured that no more Soviet missiles would enter Cuba. .... rebellion failed, it sparked hopes of revolution everywhere in Cuba. After a few years of exile in Mexico, Castro and a small band of about eighty-five men returned to Cuba in December of 1956. Many of the men perished during the initial landing, but a small group including Fidel Castro and an Argentinian Marxist Ernesto "Che" Guevara, survived and went into the mountains. During the next two years, Castro and Guevara fought the Batista army continuously in small guerrilla wars. Nearly one quarter the population did not survive that journey, they died of broken bones, snake bites, disease, and just shear exhaustion. The Trail of Tears is not the only time that we force the Native Americans to pick up and leave their land and homes either. In fact, Greece, before Alexander the Great, was just a coalition of small kingdoms. Persia, the biggest empire to exist up that time, was the "world power," controlled the way of thinking of the time, and placed a deep mark into not only Greek thinking and culture, but also the "Western" idea and life. Frescoes were a form of painting where a painting was directly applied to a wall, often when the plaster was drying so it would become part of the plr and last nearly forever providing it were in the right conditions. Roman literature was also some of the greatest in history. It is often overlooked because it is compared only to Greek literature which the Romans tried to emulate.
