Also, translucency used on the windows of the house only allows the viewer to see a silhouette of the unidentified person on the other side of the window. Neither Marlowe nor the viewer know the mysterious person watching Marlowe through the windows. Keeping the viewer on the edge of their seat plays a key role in why these movies are so popular even though they are over 50 years old. Film noir movies might also keep attracting people because noir films are not regularly shot today for the mainstream movie theatres and .....

The fall from grace in Oedipus Rex is when Oedipus, Jocasta, and all the other characters in the story realize that Oedipus actually did murder Laius and that Jocasta is indeed his mother as well as his wife. This occurs rather quickly, very close to the end of the play. The audience sees this coming long before it actually does, however. In one of the passages of Oedipus speaking with Jocasta, just about everything is spelled out for us. Jocasta speaks of Laius leaving the castle with just a few servants and his being killed where three roads meet. Oedi .....

.... of suspense for what was going to happen later on. In the book, there was many surprises that shocked me. One of those surprises was that Napoleon wanted Snowball ousted. Though Napoleon did not like Snowball, the wasn't really any evidence that he would try to kill Snowball. In the movie, Napoleon, had a bad image already. He had a mean look and shoved his way in front when Old Major gave his speech. There was also gloomy music when they had scenes of him. When the book showed of Napoleon as a bad guy, I was surprised but I expected it in the movie because the movie showed him as a bad person from the beginning. Another detail that t .....

He also learns through them some important things about love, especially that it is unconquerable. Through the chorus Creon begins to see that he is wrong and God is superior to himself, but it takes a lot to shake his belief that a perfect society is run by an unrelenting rule. This play also told me a lot about humans in general, that the they aren't interested in anything but the fulfillment of their own needs, and that they refuse to see that someth .....

When the machines lost the power of the sun, they had to find a new source of energy. The machines learned that the human body itself can produce the kind of energy necessary to sustain their lives. But humans would never just bow down to their enemies and so the machines had to devise a way to detain the humans so that they could extract that energy. The internal death is the final stage of mental suffering, but there are many stages before the one must go through to get to that last stage. Many of these stages are shown in King Lear, as he breaks down from a powerful man to a crazy derelict, all because of someone close to him, that he trusted, .....
