Macbeth: Macbeth Is More Guilty By His Actions Than Lady Macbeth Is By Hers
Words: 778 - Pages: 3.... This crime was
planned by both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The actual murder was done by Macbeth,
making him more guilty of the crime. Lady Macbeth just talked about committing
the crime, but she never actually went through with it nor would she ever, and
that is all that counts. Talking about committing the incident is very
different from actually doing it. Lady Macbeth did a little more than just talk
about it though. She also urged Macbeth into doing it and that is what makes her
part of this crime, but she is not as guilty as Macbeth. He really didn't have
to listen to what his wife said. Macbeth had a mind of his own and he could

Romeo And Juliet: A Review
Words: 1087 - Pages: 4.... tools used to evoke humour is the mockery that
is aimed at a particular character. Some of the funniest moments are when
one character is sarcastic to another. One of the best examples of this is
when Capulet asks Lady Capulet for a sword and she replies “A crutch, a
crutch! Why call you for a sword?” In this line the mockery of Capulet is
obvious and appealing to the audience as it is direct.
Shakespeare is known to be fond of puns and uses them quite
regularly but he doesn't use them as often as the Elizabethan audience
expected him to. Shakespeare starts of the play with a lot of humour, with
the conversation betwee .....

TV Violence: Impossible To Get Rid Of Violence On Television
Words: 320 - Pages: 2.... everywhere, TV, Music, Movies, Video games, news, and newspaper.
You would have to ban all violence to stop people from thinking about it. TV is
not the only problem.
Is there too much TV violence, or is it just what people want to see?
In a recent survey, violent scenes in nonfictional shows went up 150% and in
fictional shows they went up 39%. The overall violence went up 41%.
What about the V-chip? The chip that would block out violence
and sex on TV. But is that offending people's freedom of speech? Who would
choose to use the V-chip? The government can't force people to use it, so how
could they re-enforce its use?
I .....

Romeo And Juliet Versus West Side Story
Words: 670 - Pages: 3.... my feeling that West Side
Story's musical style brings the viewer/listener further into the play and makes
the play more effective. An example of this is when, in Act II, Scene II, of
Romeo and Juliet, otherwise known as the balcony scene, Romeo expresses his
thoughts in a sililoquy until Juliet shows up. While in Romeo and Juliet all of
this is spoken, in West Side Story, this is written as music shared between
Maria and Tony.
Another major difference between these two stories is that in Romeo
and Juliet, Juliet sees Romeo dead and decides to kill herself. While, in West
Side Story, Tony (the Romeo of the play) does die - shot .....

Hamlet: The Theme Of Masks
Words: 1308 - Pages: 5.... it real or pretend,
a person who is indecisive and spiteful. Masks in this play are not just a
theme; they are the whole basis of it.
The mask theme develops throughout the play as various characters try to cover
their secret intentions with a veneer of a whole other person. One of the most
obvious, of course is Claudius. Claudius murdered his brother, the former king
Hamlet, in order to become king himself. This murder, which was done in secret,
with no one but Cladius knowing that the act was committed by him. Not only is
he the King of Denmark, but he is also married to Queen Gertrude, his brothers
former wife. These hideous and aw .....

Movie: Casper - Death And Growth Of Characters
Words: 427 - Pages: 2.... the house and this gives Ms. Carrigan the opportunity to
find the treasure.
Regeneration is all through the story and it could be called the
theme. Regeneration is first shown when Cat’s father gets killed at the
bar and they have to use the last of the juice that brings people back to
life. But first they had to get it from the evil Ms. Carrigan. The second
example is when Cat’s mom comes back for a short time to see Cat and Dr.
James, Cat’s father. The last is when Cat’s mom turns Casper back into a
boy so that he can dance with Cat at her party.
With all the death in the movie Cat has to come to realize the

Third Story Flat
Words: 290 - Pages: 2.... and differences of "", and "a Cornish Mystery.
In the "", the action takes place all in one night. However in "A Cornish Mystery", The action takes place over the coarse several days. Also, in the story, the action took place in the big city, while the movie mainly took place in a small town. I think the movie was much easier to follow than the story.
Within the first twenty minutes of the movie, I noticed at least five differences, and I wasn’t really looking that hard for the differences. I found some similarities, but not as many as differences. One difference is that In the movie, the detective had an assistant. In the story, The .....

Darkness; Beacon Of Chaos In Macbeth
Words: 452 - Pages: 2.... Macbeth in Act 4: consulted with the witches, murdered Macduff's family,
and continued to create chaos in Scotland. Macbeth in Act 4 is described as an
agent of disorder, "untitled tyrant bloody-sceptered". The language in Act 1
that described Macbeth has changed from "noble" and "kind" to the diction of Act
4 witch describes Macbeth as "black Macbeth" and a "tyrant". The Castle that
Macbeth lives in, Dunsanine is also indicative of darkness. Dunsanine is similar
to the word dungeon a dark and dirty place. In Act 4 Macbeth is an agent of
disorder, he murders and he consults witches, because of this he is described
using dark imagery .....

Macbeth: A Shakespearean Tragic Hero
Words: 885 - Pages: 4.... and honor but not with out fault. The Sergeant represents Macbeth very well towards King Duncan, when he says, “For brave Macbeth – well he deserves that name disdaining fortune, with his brandished steel, which smoked with bloody execution…”(Act I, Scene II, Line 15-16). The Sergeant spoke very highly of Macbeth, and his actions in this war show his loyalty towards Duncan in that he would fight for his King. As the play continued Macbeth’s flaw becomes even more visible. His ambition for power would not go unnoticed. The author first gives a hint at the character’s ambition when Macbeth mentions, “[Aside] Glamis .....
