Christ: VICTORY!!
Words: 617 - Pages: 3.... dying for our sins. In Romans 5:6-8 it
says that Christ died for all of us. Even the bad ones, ALL. This is a sign of
the Victory that Christ had won a victory here. The reason is because of all of
the lifes that he saved and will later be saved. In Romans 5 it says that Jesus
died for All Sinners! We are all sinners so his death was for all.
When Jesus says that "It is finished", he can also be reffering to the older
predictions of Christs' life. There is one in particular that it might have been
talking about in Isaiah. That is the one in which Isaiah talks of the life of
Jesus and the crusifiction, in very short and brief detail.

Three Important Qualities Of Christ's Life
Words: 1249 - Pages: 5.... are not worthy of his presence.
God is of the Spirit. He is not made of matter and mind, and he does
not possess a physical nature. Some think that God is that of a human.
There is no possible way that this could be, because in John 4:24 Jesus
speaks "God is spirit, and those who worship him just worship in spirit and
truth.". Even though Jesus had flesh was of the Spirit he still did have
matter. He had flesh which is matter. In this flesh was very important
qualities. God still possesses all of these qualities even though He does
not have flesh. These characteristics would fit for either God the Father,
God the Son, or God the .....

This dream was soon interpreted by the wise man Brahmin who came and said if her son were to remain in the castle he would become the wisest king in the world, but if he were to leave he would become the wisest prophet far into future generations.
In around the year 563 BC, Siddhartha Gautama was born into a life of pure luxury. His father wanted to make sure that his son was well taken care of as he grew to prevent him from desiring to leave the palace. Tactics Of A Revolution: The Protestant Reformation
Words: 1343 - Pages: 5.... language. However, it seems that the timing for a reformation was simply not right during the times of Hus and Wyclif. When Luther began his crusades, numerous groups in Germany were discontented with the changes they saw taking place around them. Peasants desired the right to hunt and fish as they had been able to in the past, and disapproved of the rising taxes being imposed on them by their landlords. The common people were also unhappy with the church, feeling that the clergy were greedy and more interested in acquiring wealth than being the spiritual leaders they were appointed to be. Landlords were forced to sit idly by as the prices .....

Contradictions In The Puritan Religion
Words: 844 - Pages: 4.... of John Calvin, and one of the major ideals they focused on was the
doctrine of predestination. Calvin believed that the grace of God was the
ticket into Heaven and that his grace could not be earned. God's grace was
bestowed upon a select few regardless of what they did to earn it. This ‘
doctrine' stated that God determines a mans' destiny, whether it be redemption
or condemnation, regardless of any worth or merit on the person's part. It
could be compared to the failures of Communism in that no matter how hard a
person worked, how devout a person was, how often a person went to church, there
was no way to get into Heaven unless .....

Moses, A Chosen Leader
Words: 1596 - Pages: 6.... he decides to conduct a purge. In the first two books of the Bible, there are two distinct covenants made, one with Noah and the other many generations later with Abraham. God talked to Noah and he was chosen to be the father of a renewed civilization after an enormous purge would wipe out the evil in the world.
Noah had to undergo many trials and tribulations. He had to experience embarrassment and ridicule because of the nature of God’s requests. His neighbors and friends thought he was nuts because it is not everyday that a man constructs a huge boat made of gopher wood and claims that a flood will come to rid the world of evil. After .....

Christianity And Change
Words: 1189 - Pages: 5.... The negative influence would come from the
fact that people might come back to the church only because they fear that
the year 2000 will bring about the ending of the world.
There was a time when Christians naturally turned to God when they
had problems. Today that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Traditions
have drastically changed. It almost seems as if religion is a dying
tradition all together. “The signs of death are seen in the declining
membership of the mainline Protestant traditions and in both the declining
attendance and declining authority now seen in the Catholic and Orthodox
churches” (Rollins). People are .....

The Book Of Mark: An Essay For Humanities Courses That Treat The Bible As A Historical Document
Words: 1437 - Pages: 6.... of The Camel and the Eye
of a Needle). It is doubtful that these things happened at the same time;
however, they are GREY in The Five Gospels anyway ... and probably didn't
happen as Mark describes. This brings us to Mark's writing style.
Mark seems to "tack-on" sentences to Jesus' teachings to make them
more "Christian." This really changes the meaning more than any other
tactic! Who knows what Mark may have edited-out to accomplish what he
wanted to impress upon his readers? In this, he tries to interpret the
meaning of Jesus' actions ... and does this in a misleading way. For
example: Mark 2:19, Jesus regarding Fasting. J .....
