There Seems To Be A Need For Violence In Society!
Words: 727 - Pages: 3.... blue faces, blood...The more severe the fight the more exited and
happy the audience seems to be. Violence simply stimulates people. Big
glory comes when one passes out! YES...here is the hero!
What is the message here? It is, we will like you more since you are
physically stronger, and we will respect you because we are afraid of you.
That is again, a wrong message.
Violence is glorified the most throught media, violent movies, TV
shows and newspaper sensationalism.
Violent movies are born one after another: "Die Hard","The God
Father", "Natural Born Killers", "The Proffesinal", "Pulp Fiction","
Terminator 2", etc.When th .....

Love
Words: 888 - Pages: 4.... fable about a young orphan girl who had no family and no one to her. One day, feeling exceptionally sad and lonely, she was walking through the meadow when she noticed a small butterfly caught unmercifully in a thornbush. The more the butterfly struggled to free itself, the deeper the thorns cut into the butterfly from its captivity. Instead of flying away, the little butterfly changed into a beautiful fairy. The young girl rubbed her eyes in disbelief.
'For your wonderful kindness,' the good fairy said to the girl, 'I will grant you any wish you would like.'
The little girl thought for a moment and then replied, 'I want to be happ .....

Let The Animals Go
Words: 1216 - Pages: 5.... uncomfortable lifestyle. According to
Alison Greene, who has fought for circus animals for twenty-five years, “
there are no kind animal trainers.” (Greene). Thus, circuses should not
have the right to use animals for entertainment.
There is a high amount of abuse that lies behind the performance of
circus animals. Not only is there physical abuse, but also mental.
Maclean’s Magazine finds that Veterinarian Ken Langlier becomes disgusted
with the treatment of animals in the circus. “What he sees in circuses
often sickens him: malnourished tigers, monkeys with their fingers bitten
off, and elephants biting one another or pacing .....

Racism: Issue In Institutional Racism
Words: 1653 - Pages: 7.... was characterized by a
system of duality that subjugated and exterminated peoples for the benefit of
the oppressors. This pattern of duality, interwoven into our culture, has
created an dangerously racialized society. From the first moment a colonist
landed on these shores, truths that were “self-evident” were contingent on
subjective “interpretation.” This discretionary application of rights and
freedoms is the foundation upon which our racially stratified system operates on.
English colonists, Africans, and Native Americans comprised the early
clash of three peoples. Essentially economic interests, and namely capitalism,

Animal Rights

Every year millions of animals suffer and die in painful tests to determine ‘the safety’ of items ranging from eye shadow to oven cleaner. The eye irritancy test described above is only one of the tests that convince me that animal product testing is absolutely wrong. A lethal dose test force-feeds animals a particular chemical in order to see how toxic it is. It ma .....

Why Are We Still Prejudice?
Words: 371 - Pages: 2.... to there being discriminated against. It is also my opinion that
not as much discrimination occurs as they imagine. Sometimes I hear an
African American insisting on not being referred to as "Black" but in the
same sentence accusing "Whites" of referring to them asa blacks. We
"Whites" really don't think much of that statement because in all honesty
we are not intimidated by these groups, and with good reason. There is no
direct harm in this attitude that minority groups display in America, but
in my opinion if we continue to let this train of thought continue there is
no limit to how much special privileges these people will deman .....

Do We Need Protection In Our Schools?
Words: 461 - Pages: 2.... testing every couple of weeks. Special drug dogs would be brought in to sniff out the drugs as well. Drug testing is essential and we need to crack down on these "crack heads."
We have to face the fact that teenagers do have sex. We can not stop them from having sex but we can help them from making a big mistake. Condoms would be sold in our schools. Maybe they won’t be sold in public but they will be available in our schools. The selling of condoms in school will provide a way to protect themselves.
Another form of protection for our schools is actual police officers and metal detectors in the schools. Kids now a day have so many issues .....

Sex In Black, White And Mulatto
Words: 1647 - Pages: 6.... had the opportunity to take advantage of their slaves without having
to worry of prosecution. Without laws that would allow these enslaved women
to resist, there is a presumption then that they were always willing to
oblige to their master's requests for sex.2 This, of course, is not true.
Not all slave women were so compelled to give into their owner's demands.
For some slaves the only way they could resist the advances of an
oncoming sexual predator was through resistance. Such an example is Jermain
Loguen's mother. When attacked, "she picked up a stick and dealt her would-
be rapist a blow that sent him staggering. She stood her .....

The media happens to be one of the most effective tools. There is a very strong love/hate relationship between corporate communicators and the media. On one hand, communicators need to get their messages out. The media also ne .....
