Personal Writing: Drag Racing
Words: 689 - Pages: 3.... Accord. With a big import drag racing
approaching quickly, I spent most of my waking hours for a week tuning my
car. Sweat and hours of hard work finally prepared my car for racing. The
interior was stripped down to the sheet metal and contained only the
driver's seat to reduce weight. The whole exhaust system was removed to
gain that little edge of power, which is essential for racing. My car was
finally race ready, waiting to tear up the track.
The following day, our race team met up at the track. In the pit
area, we changed out our street tires for high performance drag slicks.

My New Car

When I’m in my car I always feel safe. To enter the vehicle you can use the keyless entry system. The system is devised to protect against Car Jackers. In case of a jacking I can alert others by pressing the alert button and my car will then beep repeatedly and the lights will rapidly flash. The car does so until I repress the alert button. I can also lock and unlock my vehicle plus open the trunk. My car has seatbelts to fit each passenger and for added safety, dual airbags.

"Ready to rock n' roll."
Steward pulls the Blackbird out of the hanger like a cumbersome Oldsmobile,
but only this special Oldsmobile can travel over twice the speed of sound
undetected by enemy radar. With a push of the throttle the twin-turbine engines
roar with authority. The bird takes flight disappearing into the night skies
evanescently. The only sign that it exists is the trademark sonic boom as it
passes the sound barrier.
After approximately seven hours flight time and two in-flight re-fuelings,

Creative Writing: Life In Sumitville
