"A Rose for Emily" is in essence five different flashbacks combined together to form one story. Faulkner flashes back to the time when a deputation tried to collect on her taxes. This flashback is used to describe the lifestyle Emily has been living for the past years and also the appearance that Emily has taken on as a result of staying in the house. Emily's hereditary obligations that she had to the town are shown in the flashback of her buying ars .....

He carries out all her final wishes. For Lotus he does everything she wants when she wants it done. Wang Lung shows he is controlling by trying to make his youngest son work on the lan .....

It would have been easy to drop all my extra-curricular activities and to just concentrate on school. Retrogressively, it would have been easier to not have any concern about school work and to just pursue my pastimes, but it would not have been as fulfilling or rewarding as it has been to combine the two together. In conclusion, high school activities are an excellent way to prepare you for a life crowned with success. They are helpful to begin a course to which one could follow to achieve any goal. They are the starting point .....
