Is Macbeth The Tragic Hero Of The Play?
Words: 784 - Pages: 3.... noble, the thane of Cawdor and Glamis, and a
general of the Scottish army. He also becomes the king of Scotland later in the
play. Despite his status, he has a character defect.
A tragic hero must have a character flaw. This character flaw causes him
to make an error in judgment, "a mistaken act," which leads to his downfall.
Because Macbeth is ambitious, he wants to become king. In order to take over the
throne, he kills Duncan, and thus commits his terrible crime, and eventually is
punished.
The tragic hero must deserve his fate. He must not simply make a mistake,
like stepping off a curb in front of a moving vehicle. He mus .....

Hamlet: Duplicity

and inner state. When questioned by Gertrude about his melancholy
appearance, Hamlet says, "Seems, madam? Nay it is. I know not `seems.'
(1.2.76). This is to say "I am what I appear to be." Later In Act I,
Hamlet makes a clear statement about his state when he commits himself to
revenge. In this statement the play makes an easy to follow shift. This
shift consists of Hamlet giving up the role of a student and mourning son.

Othello: Iago - "O, Beware, My Lord, Of Jealousy"

jealous that Desdemona loves Othello and not him. In accordance with the
definition of jealousy, Roderigo desires the possessions of another. It is this
jealousy which moves him to do many evil things in the play. He pays Iago large
amounts of money to conjure up a scheme to acquire Desdemona. He gives in to
Iago at the beginning of the play. In effect he has become the villian's
disciple. By doing this, he himself has adopted the green-eyed monster image.

There are many times throughout the story that dishonesty accrues
Act I of this story it begins with three girls who accuse dozen of people
of witchcraft. The fact that the girls are trying to conceive of some way
in which to escape punishment for having been caught dancing in the woods
is clearly revealed. The irresponsible accusations have resulted in the
deaths of twenty people. But later on in the story the truth comes back to
haunt them because they are the ones who end up being accused for
witchcraft. I mentioned in line 23 of my poem, sooner or later the truth

Jay Vs. Dave: Battle Of The Late Night Television

Macbeth: Macbeth's Decent Into Hell

Later in the play Macbeth gets worried about Banquo because he thinks
that Banquo might figure out what Macbeth is doing and get Macbeth murdered for
