Antigone: Afterlife
Words: 1329 - Pages: 5.... Gods, and had a different God to explain things that we now say are an act of mother nature. It may seem rather foolish to us when we study their beliefs and compare them to modern day beliefs.I am sure the Greeks would have considered us to be heathens and put us to death for our ways and beliefs.I think Antigone thought her act was courageous and valid. I myself would not have risked my life to ensure a proper burial for anyone, whether it was in modern times or back then.To go against authority and break the laws given by the monarch was a plain senseless act. When someone is dead we now know there is nothing else anyone or anything ca .....

Tintern Abbey
Words: 337 - Pages: 2.... to remember than this.” One can
attribute the melancholy mood to Turner's style which was impressionistic
and typical of the era. The Slave Ship, another painting by Turner,
further proves this.
The placement, or the view of the abbey, is also inaccurate. In
the poem Wordsworth describes the abbey as being in a river valley, with
rivers and streams surrounding it. It also implies that the building is
positioned near a cliff. Even the title itself proves that the view
portrayed by Turner is inaccurate. Lines Composed a Few Miles Above
Tintern Abbey: this means that the view would be a “bird's eye” one or a
distant view. Yet, T .....

will go far as murdering, and deluding even a general into murdering his wife.
Iago simultaneously conducts a devious plan to obtain Cassio's position
as lieutenant, using Desdemona's prime weakness; her naivety. He disgraces
Cassio by intoxicating him enough so he strikes Roderigo. Othello then
discharges Cassio of his Lieutenancy when he says: "Cassio, I love thee,/ But
nevermore be officer of mine" (II.iii.242-244). It was therefore understandable
that he would fall to the mercy of Iago, completely oblivious to the inevitable
effects. Iago reveals his plan to the reader in his third soliloquy when he
states:
His soul is so unfett .....

Pulp Fiction

the drugs, and they were almost the downfall of the whole attempt.
The movie wasted no time in introducing the first biblical reference
when the two men try to retrieve the suitcase containing Wallace's belongings.
When Vega opened the suitcase, he used the combination "666" to open the
suitcase, and when he opened it, the contents glowed a golden-orange color.
This was obviously an introductory attempt to show the audience that the
suitcase held Marcellus' soul. Perhaps Tarantino was trying to show that the
people that stole the suitcase were the devils pawns, and these two hitmen were
angels trying to retrieve sto .....

forth a whole new format of television broadcast journalism.
60 Minutes has a vast history of stories covered, yet the format has
remained unchanged. Don Hewett, creator and producer of 60 Minutes, has been
the subject of much criticism for his stubbornness. Since its origin, 60
Minutes has continued to adhere to the same formula that made it such a success.
The hidden-camera interviews, the surprising of unsuspecting alleged crooks
with a bombardment of questions, the longevity of the featured reporters, all of
these are what made 60 Minutes a success--finishing in the top 10 Nielson

Macbeth seemed to be losing himself after Duncan's death due to his obsession
with the witches prophecies, so in turn, the witches could be partly responsible
for Macbeth's downfall.
Lady Macbeth can also be held accountable for Macbeth's decline of sanity

Duncan. She wanted Macbeth to take the rank of king as much as he did.
Pressure from his spouse added on to all the other pressures from the prophecies,
