Words: 581 - Pages: 3.... would have happened.
The tragedy of Romeo's love for Rosalind, she too was a Capulet, and so that
barred his love for her, although she also did not love him.
Quite obviously, the misfortune of Romeo and Juliet's forbidden love. This is
the basis of the whole story. For two people to love each other and not be able
to show their true feelings for each other is ultimately very frustrating. It's
"Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" style.
The tragedy of Tybalt's death. Another result of the family fight, this was a
tragedy for all involved, the Capulets and the Montagues, because Romeo was
banished from Verona. The blight of the messenger n .....

Words: 429 - Pages: 2.... it must seem their guilt". This is another
sinister and evil reference to blood, setting up the innocent servants of
the king. Again, blood is referred to when Malcolm and Donaldbain are
discussing what to do and Malcolm says : "there's daggers in men's smiles:
the nearer in blood, the nearer bloody." Meaning that their closest
relatives are likely to kill them. Again, blood is being used to describe
treason, murder and death. In Act 5, Scene 1 - the sleepwalking scene,
while Lady Macbeth is sleepwalking, there are constant references to the
evil deeds that Macbeth and herslef have committed, most of which include
references to blood. She go .....

The Success Of Michael Crichton's Novels In The Media Industry
Words: 730 - Pages: 3.... He includes many frantic chase scenes or race-against-the-
clock scenes that will translate graphically onto the screen. He puts plenty of
technical, pseudo-specialist talk into his characters' mouths to give readers
the illusion that they're learning something as they quickly flip the pages
(Kakutui 3).
Michael Crichton has definitely made a boom in the entertainment
industry. Whether it is his top grossing movies or his top rated television
shows like E.R. which took a leading twenty prime-time Emmy nominations last
year including best drama (Carter 23).
Crichton's latest movie Congo, which had a great opening weekend, was
one of .....

Hamlet's Inability To Decipher Right From Wrong
Words: 743 - Pages: 3.... With what, i’th’ name of God?
Ophelia: My lord, as I was sewing in my chamber,
Lord Hamlet, with his doublet all unbraced,
No hat upon his head, his stockings fouled,
Ungartered, and down-gyvèd to his ankle,
Pale as his shirt, his knees knocking each other,
And with a look so piteous and purport
As if he had been loosèd out of hell
To speak of horrors, he comes before me.”
According to Ophelia, his apparent condition was one of distress. I thought this section interesting because although Hamlet supposedly loves Ophelia, and his act of going through her closet was out of his “love-madness” for her, it truly sca .....

see how blind they are not knowing when fortune or something else would be
on them. The hero must be of a high status on the chain and the hero also
possesses a tragic flaw that initiates the tragedy. The fall of the hero
is not felt by him alone but creates a chain reaction which affects
everything below him. There must also be the element of chance or accident
that influences some point in the play.
King Lear meets all of these requirements that has been laid out by
Bradley which is the most logical for a definition of a tragedy as compared
to the definition of a comedy b .....

Iago cannot bear Othello's being a superior figure. Iago comments on
Othello's going to war as "Another of his fathom they have none/ To lead their
