Creative Story: Mischels Greenhouse
Words: 459 - Pages: 2.... I would wrap the rack full of mums so the
mums would not fall off. Then I would take the palette jack and pick up therack,
and load it into the Ford truck. Loading is hard because I have to make sure
they go all the way to the back and to the side of the truck. It can't be one
inch off otherwise it could hurt the plants (They could rub together) and the
racks wouldn't fit side by side. It's a endless cycle, day after day, until
all the mums are gone. When the mums are all gone, it's a glorious feel of
relief. All the benches had to be cleaned to get ready for poinsettias. Tanya
went back to Belarus to live with her real family so I .....

Up The Ladder
Words: 998 - Pages: 4.... Chris's suggestion pleased the bird.
"I'll fly with you for a little ways," it said, "but I must return
soon, to protect my nest."
So Chris started climbing the ladder again, and the blue bird flew up
beside him.
Together they climbed past the top of the tree and into the sky. They
had been climbing for a little while when the blue bird turned back to its
nest.
"Goodbye, Chris," the blue bird said. "Don't forget to tell me what's
at the end of the ladder."
Chris climbed higher. Soon he met a woman dressed in coveralls. She
held a hammer in her hand and two nails in her mouth. She was pounding
nails into a boar .....

The music and dancing immediately stopped in respect.
"If it's a war the Milkers want," he slurred, tipping this way and that,
almost losing his balance. "Then it's a war they'll get." His statement
was met with a round of deafening cheers, which soon died back down. "You
are all people of war... and when we clash tomorrow, I want you to do what
you do best. I want you to destroy whoever gets in your way." Another round
of cheers exploded, then died down. "Tomorrow, milk will be released from
the confines of their bodies... it will flow through o'er the plai .....

Creative Writing: Spawn
Words: 615 - Pages: 3.... To a mortal man the sight
would appear ludicrous. An old, befuddled man could hardly attract the attention
of such a powerful warrior. But to the spawns eyes, he only saw the truth.
He didn't see the lines of age which covered the man's face. Nor did he see
the disfigured spine which pushed the man's back into a painful composure. But
he did see the beast within.
To the spawn, what stood in the other room had no dimensions, it glittered
with a warrior's sweat and had an evil which protruded off its hide like
poisonous spines. This creature had roamed the aeons sending multitudes of
innocent 'children' to nothingness before their ti .....

The Day In The Life Of A Drug Addict
Words: 843 - Pages: 4.... I had
tracks, needle marks, up and down my arm. My shirt sleeve had blood stains
on it from the day before. I held out my arm and demanded "I get the first
one and I want coke not watered down coke!" Doug pulled my arm close to
him and inserted the needle in my arm. As I was shaking, he told me "Make
this last for a while girl." I felt the dope hit me and ran out of the
restroom. I was shaking and could not get my breath. I enjoyed this
feeling although I knew it was not going to last. I could hear every sound
outside and inside the house. My heart beat grew faster and I felt the
rush going away. I wanted another fix. Doug had .....

Celebration Of My 21st Birthday
Words: 1098 - Pages: 4.... boyfriends. The girls were naturally closer than the guys, since we live together, but, even though we are so close, we usually eat only with our boyfriends. Although this is true, it was still I comfortable, fun atmosphere where we could joke around. It was not necessary for my friends' boyfriends to show up to this party, but, it seemed that they were mere accompaniment to my friends.
On this night, we all changed out of our class gear of old, comfortable t-shirts and dirty, blue jeans, and wore the best of our casual clothing. For me that meant my tight black pants, light purple, cashmere sweater, and black loafers. This was clearly .....

My First Job At Buzzy's Diner
Words: 806 - Pages: 3.... many of them are dented and scratched from their years of use. In one
corner there is an ancient cigarette machine (the kind with levers you have to
pull to get your cigarettes) and an old fashioned penny gumball machine.
The walls of the room are divided horizontally by molding. The bottom
four feet of the walls consist of wood paneling that matches the benches. The
top half is covered with an ugly brown wallpaper that reminds me of the
wallpaper in my grandmother's house. The wallpaper usually goes unnoticed
because most of it is covered up with other stuff. Hanging on the wall behind
the counter there is a collection of .....

Personal Writing: Taking Some Time Off To Watch Nature
Words: 423 - Pages: 2.... watching the leaves I saw two squirrels running up and
down a tree chasing one another. I looked deeper into the woods and saw a
squirrel burying his nuts in the ground, so it will have food for over the
winter.
A few feet in front of me were red ants clawing all over a dead log.
There were tons of them clawing all around carrying little pieces of food.
All the animals where getting ready for the cold winter that is ahead of us.
Across in the neighbor's backyard were birds eating from a bird feeder. I
heard birds chirping then over top the birds I heard geese for off in the
woods by the lake.
I was lucky didn't get bitten by any bugs .....

Creative Writing: My Grandfather
Words: 898 - Pages: 4.... of the city.
The thing he remembers most about his mother is that she was a free spirit. His
dad left when he was three because he couldn't take care of any one, not even
himself. He recalled that John told lots of tall stories; something that
grandpa does often.
His first school was in California and it was a two room school house.
He had to walk home and there were water snakes in the gutters. One time when
he got home, his favorite toy, a refrigerator handle, was missing. Then he
noticed that the two trees that were in front of the house were gone. He called
the police. When the police got there, the baby-sitter was there and said .....
