Macbeth Analysis Paper
Words: 897 - Pages: 4.... have imagined a voice cry, “Sleep no More! Macbeth does murder sleep” and
“Macbeth shall sleep no more”!The only reson he killed Duncan was because the witches told him that he would be Thane of Cawdor and then king. Greediness seemed to have stepped in and he wanted so much to be king, that he would do anything he had to do to become it, even it it meant to kill the king. If the witches had not told him about becoming king, he probably would not have been so cruel killing so many people. Lady Macbeth had a rather little part in Macbeth’s killing of Duncan. She was the one there to tease Macbeth for being worried about the consequ .....

Star Trek - The Next Generation
Words: 2256 - Pages: 9.... name was Shaq, captain of the Check Mate. He claimed to be a Romulan
captain in search of Federation asylum. I had never heard of such a thing; in
Romulan society, loyalty to the Romulan Empire is more sacred than life itself.
In any event, I was certain that we would learn a lot more during the next few
days.
Star date: 32851.5: Captain Shaq claimed that he was defecting in order
to prevent intergalactic war. He told us that the Romulan Empire has plans for
an abominable new weapon for use against the Federation and any others who might
dare to resist total domination of the Romulans. The weapon, called the
Metagenic Devic .....

old stock but we shall relish of it.
I loved you not. ... Get thee
to a nunnery!...Go thy ways to a nunnery.
(Sc.I 125)
Here we can see that Hamlet had told Ophelia earlier in the scene how deeply he
loved her, but here he has changed completely, saying that he had never loved
her. With in this quote he slips in that Ophelia should go to a nunnery. This
is his just cause for his maddness. He tries to get Ophelia to forget him and
go to the nunnery so that she can be safe, and away from all his troubles that
would soon come. Here we see his justcause as well as his foreshadowing for
things to .....

Movie: Stand And Deliver - Mr. Escalante Should Be An Inspiration To Everyone
Words: 472 - Pages: 2.... a
handhold and clings to it as if his life depended upon it. In the end, Angel,
as well as the other students, makes a huge stride by studying and passing the
AP Calculus exam.
In yet another interpretation of this seemingly meaningless statement,
Mr. Escalante could be referring to the hole caused by discrimination. Jaime
knows that because of their ethnic origin, they will have a constant struggle to
overcome the hurdles life has already set for them. ETS questioning of the
results of the first AP exam is just one of the many obstacles his students will
encounter in their strive for success. Mr. Escalante is doing his best to fill .....

Movie: Glory
Words: 287 - Pages: 2.... 54th regiment was incorporated because people thought it would only
be fitting that blacks be able to fight for their own freedom. The problem was
that the blacks were still thought of as inferior individuals. This is why it
took so long for a black regiment to come into existence. A good example of
the racism that was still existent in the north is when the 54th met the white
regiment coming back and were called "nigger"s and were taunted. Another good
example was that Blacks were not allowed to go to military academies, and that
is why the regiment was led by white officers.
Colonel Shaw (in the beginning) was still prejudiced .....

started soon ended in failure. They were a definite influence upon his work.
His views of sexual misconduct between married men and women being worse
than that between unmarried people probably come from his growing up in a
more modern world. The Puritans probably did distinguish some, but it
wasn't very prominent or apparent. His makes this point clear in the
passage, "Misbehavior among married people was especially serious, as it
was likely to disrupt existing families, which were of course regarded as
the essential foundations of any ordered, virtuous society(p.66)." The
Puritan influence is .....

Hamlet: Act V-Scene 2 - The Climax
Words: 1119 - Pages: 5.... and, for sufficient compensation, they
returned him to Denmark.
Throughout the play, after we have itemized Claudius' major crimes, the
Prince does not receive an answer to his question, one which is basic to his
status as a moral symbol in the play:
- is't not perfect conscience,
To quit him with this arm? And is't not to be damn'd,
To let this canker of out nature come
In further evil?
It has been seen here a Hamlet who is still in doubt, still troubled by his
conscience; and his view should not be ignored, if only because it illustrates
once more the difficulties of interpretation. One may argue that there is no
need .....

Creon's Fatal Flaw
Words: 548 - Pages: 2.... that Creon was "the butt for the dull arrows of doddering
fortunetellers" (Scene 5, Line 42). Such inventions of Creon prove to be
both counter-productive and foolish, for Teiresias did speak the truth and
Creon is only further drawn into his false reality dictated by hubris.
Creon's fatal flaw overcomes him in a discussion with his son.
Haimon confronts his father about Creon's reckless and unreasonable
actions dealing with Antigone. His hubris transcends his better judgement
and causes Creon to become defensive. Creon then ignores his son's
recommendations on the basis of age and seniority as follows: "You

King Lear Earl Of Gloucester
Words: 1556 - Pages: 6.... him to banish one of his loyal followers, Kent. Lear inability to determine his servant’s true identity proved once again how blind Lear actually was. In contrast, Gloucester becomes physically blind but gains the type of vision that Lear lacks. It is evident from these two characters that clear vision is not derived solely from physical sight. Lear's failure to understand this is the principal cause of his demise, while Gloucester learns to achieve clear vision, and consequently avoids a fate similar to Lear's.
Throughout most of King Lear, Lear's vision is clouded by his lack of insight. Since he cannot see into other people's ch .....
